GET THIS! USCCB commisions eight-year study to tell them homosexuality doesn't correlate with sexual abuse

USCCcccccccB (or what ever their name is now?) commissions eight-year study to tell them homosexuality doesn't correlate with sexual abuse.

Yea right........ and the kind gentleman at fort hood was just misunderstood.

Jesus was just some guy.

Salvation can be found outside the Catholic Church. The satanists and pagans have just been misunderstood for the past 2000 years.

The bishops never ever would hide child molesters, or put our children in danger.

Oh and that money that the bishops have been giving to the pro aborts for the past 30 or so years was an accounting error, and they never will give any more of our money to those evil homos and pro aborts..... no no really. The bishops promise. I mean like they gave their word and all.

Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.)

Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) sells her vote for $300 MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then she brags about it.

No, no our country is not washed in corruption.

Rowan WIlliams Hey? Who does this guy look like to you?

Who does this guy look like to you?

I do not know, but he sure does look like that Oscar guy on Sesame Street (the one in the trash can). You know the one that was always complaining about something insignificant.
Hey I could be wrong.

Update on trip South America

I now have 5 other men who have approached me about coming along on the exploratory trip: One is a veterinarian
One is a home builder
One is a Catholic Educator (and he follows this blog) Hey Michael:)
One is a mortgage broker and investor
One is a Specialized Commercial appraiser who would work from the Internet doing review appraisals in his specialty. (a quick $100K as he says).

We also have a grading contractor, and a bank president who are interested, but will not be able to go. The bank pres wants to start a bank in Uruguay.

For the record; I am a Commercial Appraiser, Real estate Developer, Real estate broker, and Commercial Pilot. I also have an Internet business that makes me between a good income each month (with some variation). If you look between the lines you start to see a good foundation for a small community. We all pretty much have the same topographical and social interests (near the mountains, but not in the mountains). We all would like to become more self sufficient, and would like to find greater opportunity. So that is how it is coming together. I am sure not all 5 will be going (for one reason or another), but these are the ones who have already asked me to look into their flight and housing arraignments and have said they want out of the USA. All of these men have told me that they think that the American Dream is now dead. Most have said that they no longer feel safe in the USA (any more so than in SA). Some of these men have families, some do not. Well there you have it!

Death of the American Dream

Here is a quote from an letter that a friend of mine who lives in Ecuador. Thanks Mathieu.....

I am not sure that I agree with all of this, but it is very close.

"The American dream needs repair," is forerunner of the genre. In today's Financial Times, it focuses on the rigidities of the US system. The time was when a young American could start at the bottom and work his way up. Luck and pluck was all that it took. But now, according to scholars at the Brookings Institution, people stay put. If you're born poor in America you're more likely to stay poor than if you had been born poor in Britain, Denmark, Sweden or dozens of other countries. What happened? The authors do not say. So we will. Success breeds failure. As a society becomes rich, more and more people find ways to game the system. The elite get tax credits, tariffs, and protective regulations. Every layer of bureaucracy makes it harder for new competitors to get ahead. And every new tax on income makes it harder for upstarts to join the ranks of the rich. The poor get their parasitic benefits too. Welfare, unemployment compensation, child tax credits, medicare, food stamps, social security - all of these programs give the poor an incentive to stay poor."

South of the Border News

Here is how my list is coming together:
1. Uruguay = Primarily a European country with many fair skinned Italians and Spaniards and Germans. Only 4% of population is indigenous. So I would not stand out an end up paying "Gringo Fees". Also the Land in Uruguay in the rural areas appear to be the cheapest, and the country has very friendly policies to American immigration.
2. Chile= Many of the same reasons as Uruguay, but I understand from two separate people that they are not as welcoming to Americans as Uruguay. In addition the cost of living and housing is significantly higher than Uruguay. On the good side Chile has wonderful views and country side.
3. Argentina = Kind of in the middle (both literally and metaphorically) of Uruguay and Chile, but can be expensive to buy land in Argentina as well.
First of all I would love to find the perfect place where the Mass is offered, but that is hard here in the USA as well. Maybe I am called to influence the Priest at the church we attend to bring the Old Mass to where ever I settle. (maybe some $$$ in his pocket would help to change his bias if he has one, maybe we will get lucky)
Please understand that I am looking to improve my life style (servants and staff for house and farm), own more land than I do here in the USA, and continue to have the freedoms that I see being taken away from me now.
I do like that my $$$ goes 10 times the distance my $$$ does here. More bang for my buck or peso in this case.
Learning to speak Spanish or any other language is not an obstacle to me. I would be speaking Klingon in a matter of weeks if it meant getting a better deal at the market. I just do not close my thinking to Language.
Do not forget this is an adventure as is all of life.
For me just going through life 9 5o 5 is a prison. There is no such thing as not enjoying life. This includes experiencing different cultures and places while maintaining my morals and prayer life and family.
You know I have been many places when I was in the Navy. Yes... America is safe, but so is a jail cell. There are good people all over the world (and bad people) including here in the USA.
There are many places here in SC that I would not go or take my children. Even here in Greer SC which has a population of about 25,000 has places that I would not go during daylight hours.
So yes safety is an issue, but American is not the only safe place on the planet. There are people who are born and raised all over the world who are safe that do not live in the USA and never will. I just feel like Americans may be a little brainwashed.
To me it seems that I am becoming a ward of the US government. My job is to now produce (like a mule or ox) so that I can be taxed by the IRS so that we can feed all those millions of poor people starving in the streets of the USA every day.
What about my family and their meal? I do want to help people but not by being forced to do it.

Should I move to South America?

Or maybe I should say why do I want to go to South America?
1. The American Dream has been killed! It is now dead. My children only have the hope of being taxed more and more and have less chance of Success.
2. I too would like to live in a more Catholic Country.
3. I have always wanted to live on a farm like I did until I was 20, at which point my parents could not afford to pay the increasing taxes, so they liquidated our land. If I move to So. America (With some exceptions) I will be able to buy land and have a productive farm for my children to inherit.
4. I seem to be working harder and harder as I get older, and making less and less (or at least having less to show for my labors).
5. I am not getting younger, and I do love a great adventure. I would be the dwarf guy (Only bigger) in "Lord of the Rings".
6. I do not see the Government getting better in the USA. At this point there are more on the nipple then those of us providing the milk. I never wanted to be a milk man, and I did not sign up for the job, much less being forced into the position!
7. I worry for the saftey and souls of my children.
8. The U.S. Government will not let me be "Self Sufficient". They put some tax or permitt in my way everytime I try to inprove my lot. I would like to make my own electricity, water and the like.
Well these are my reasons. Feel free to tear them up, but keep in mind that it is my opinion and I will listen, but not obligated to agree with your opinion.
P.S.
Here are some other reasons. One liners.
Muslim Terrorist as opposed to a wacked out guy who is just misunderstood and needs to be loved (We all need to just hug the guy)
Carbon offsets / Taxes (for al gores retirement fund)Death TaxesFuel TaxWater taxSewer taxInternet TaxPower taxPhone TaxProperty Taxes (real Estate) (you never own your house!)(SOON) Health Care Tax / Insurance: or go to jailAuto InsuranceHealth InsuranceLiability / Business InsuranceHome owners insuranceDisability Insurance
